Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Kingdom of Belgium Mr. Tigran Balayan presented his Letters of Credence to His Majesty Phillipe I of the Belgians

On 29 November, Mr. Tigran Balayan, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Kingdom of Belgium, presented his Letters of Credence to His Majesty Phillipe I, King of the Belgians.

The solemn ceremony at the Royal Palace was followed by the formal audience with the King, during which they exchanged thoughts on the further development of Armenian-Belgian bilateral relations and the challenges facing Armenia. Ambassador Balayan addressed the issues of the needs and rights of more than 100,000 Armenian refugees forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh as a result of ethnic cleansing by Azerbaijan, and the steps implemented with the support of international partners. The Ambassador also expressed gratitude for the support provided to Armenia.

After the ceremony, a reception was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia to the Kingdom of Belgium, which was attended by Foreign Ministry representatives, MPs, foreign ambassadors, representatives from the Armenian community, and business circles.
