Members of Political and Security Committee of the EU Council hosted in Parliament

On April 8, the Vice President of the National Assembly of Armenia Ruben Rubinyan, the members of the Standing Committees on Foreign Relations, on European Integration and on Defense and Security met with the delegation led by the Chair of the Political and Security Committee of the Council of the European Union (EU) Delphine Pronk.

By welcoming the visit to Armenia, Ruben Rubinyan highlighted the deepening of the Armenia-EU multilayer partnership.

The Vice President presented the security situation, the challenges in the region, spoke about the approaches of Armenia on the key issues of the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan. The Armenian parliamentarians emphasized the role of the EU Civilian Mission in Armenia in ensuring security in the region.

The sides discussed issues regarding the development of the RA-EU cooperation in a number of spheres. Reference was also made to the necessity of beginning the dialogue on the EU-Armenia visa liberalisation.
