Meeting of the Foreign Minister of Armenia with the Vice-President of the European Commission

On September 9, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Margaritis Schinas, Vice-President of the European Commission, Commissioner for Promoting the European Way of Life.

The interlocutors discussed issues on the Armenia-EU partnership agenda.

Minister Mirzoyan commended today’s start of the Armenia-EU Visa Liberalization Dialogue, stressing the importance of the latter both as a political message and an action aimed at ensuring tangible results for the citizens of the Republic of Armenia.

Ararat Mirzoyan and Margaritis Schinas exchanged views on joint efforts aimed at further deepening the Armenia-EU partnership, effective implementation of the "Growth and Resilience Plan for Armenia", and democratic reforms.

The interlocutors also discussed regional security issues. Minister Mirzoyan briefed his counterpart on Armenia's steps to achieve peace in the South Caucasus.
