9th Meeting of the EU-Armenia Subcommittee on Energy, Transport, Environment, Climate Action, and Civil Protection

On March 23, the 9th meeting of the EU-Armenia Subcommittee on Energy, Transport, Environment, Climate Action, and Civil Protection was held in Brussels, co-chaired by Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia, Armen Simonyan.

During the meeting, participants held in-depth discussions on recent developments in Armenia and the European Union in the fields of energy, transport, environment, climate action, and civil protection. The agenda also covered the current state of EU-Armenia cooperation in these sectors, as well as EU-funded assistance programs.

The Head of the Mission of the Republic of Armenia to the European Union, Ambassador Tigran Balayan, delivered opening remarks, reaffirming Armenia’s commitment and strong interest in the continuous development and deepening of EU-Armenia cooperation across various sectors. In this context, Ambassador Balayan also emphasized that the connectivity agenda has become a cornerstone of EU-Armenia relations, with ongoing, targeted efforts being carried out at different levels.
