Meeting of the Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia with the Director-General for Enlargement and Eastern Neighbourhood of the European Commission

On 23 June, on the margins of the High-Level Launch Event of the Connectivity Agenda Platform held in Brussels, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan met with Gert Jan Koopman, Director-General for Enlargement and Eastern Neighbourhood of the European Commission.

The interlocutors exchanged views on the implementation of the agreed initiatives aimed at advancing economic and transport connectivity, as well as on other issues related to Armenia-European Union partnership in this field. In this context, they underscored the importance of the Joint Declaration on the Armenia-EU Connectivity Partnership signed on the margins of the first Armenia-EU Summit.

Deputy Minister Kostanyan briefed on the latest developments regarding the situation arising from the economic restrictions imposed on Armenia-made products and welcomed the support extended by the European Union and its Member States.

The sides reaffirmed their commitment to continuing joint efforts aimed at diversifying Armenia's economy and strengthening its economic resilience.
