Armenian Foreign Minister received Director General for Enlargement of the European Commission

On February 3, Edward Nalbandian, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, received the delegation of the European Commission headed by Christian Danielsson, Director General for Enlargement.

Welcoming the guest, Minister Nalbandian underlined that the expansion of multi-sectoral relations with the European Union occupies an important place on the foreign policy agenda of Armenia.

The interlocutors discussed in details the process of negotiations on the new Armenia-European Union legal document. Edward Nalbandian and Christian Danielsson expressed hope that it will be possible to conclude the negotiations in the near future.
Foreign Minister of Armenia and Director General for Enlargement of the European Commission touched upon the participation of Armenia in various EU projects. They noted with satisfaction the deepening of sectoral cooperation.

Minister Nalbandian briefed the interlocutor on the efforts of Armenia and the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair countries towards advancement of the peaceful resolution of the Karabakh issue.

During the meeting the sides exchanged views on regional issues.
