Ambassador Balayan’s meeting with Member of the European Parliament Bogdan Zdrojewski

On July 14, Ambassador of Armenia Tigran Balayan met with Member of the European Parliament Bogdan Zdrojewski, the European Parliament's Committee on International Trade (INTA) Rapporteur on Armenia.

The meeting focused on the autonomous trade measures to be granted to Armenia in support of the country's economy, as well as the prospects for further deepening the Armenia-EU partnership in this context.

Ambassador Balayan expressed his gratitude for this exceptional decision and for the European Union's, and in particular the European Parliament's, continued support for Armenia. He also provided a comprehensive overview of the Armenian Government's initiatives and ongoing efforts in this area.

The Ambassador of Armenia noted that the forthcoming decision would contribute to the diversification of Armenia's export markets by creating additional opportunities for Armenian products to gain broader access to the European market.

Following the meeting, Ambassador Balayan participated in a meeting of the European Parliament's Committee on International Trade. During the meeting, on the proposal of Rapporteur Bogdan Andrzej Zdrojewski, the Committee decided to consider the issue of granting autonomous trade measures to Armenia under the simplified procedure.
